Country Newcomer Denny Strickland's "Get A Grip" Lyric Video Premieres On THE BOOT

Hip, Hot & Hypnotic Track Resonating At Radio Now

". . . smooth delivery with a contemporary production. The catchy tune fits right in the afternoon plans for the night to come, on through the party, till last call...and beyond!" - CDX
Up-and-coming Country vocalist Denny Strickland's "Get A Grip" lyric video premieres on THE BOOT. The visually-enticing clip, created by Buz-Videos, ably mirrors the lyrics with deftly applied effects. Pulsating and colorful, the images are mesmerizing.

The hip, hot and hypnotic track was written by Bill DiLuigi (Richie McDonald, Shaun Murphy), Troy Johnson (Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw) and Henry Jack Williams (Little River Band, Uriah Heep). "Get A Grip" takes Strickland a step closer to the Rock edge that he loves.

"It's really different," admits Strickland. "It's not your typical Country song. Even though there's lots of traditional imagery, there's a Rock thing going on that kinda sneaks up on you."

hey pretty girl I'm on my way
slow rolling out the gate
heats on got my gangster lean on
baby you smell like honeysuckle
that little low riding buckle's sweet on the
tight fitting jeans on ya

walking inside clubs insane
all aboard crazy train
is coming better get a grip on to something

According to One Stop Country, "'Get A Grip' leans heavily on the Pop side of Country ... (and) will draw comparisons to Chris Lane and Thomas Rhett." The track is available to radio via Play MPE and CDX (Volume 637), and fans can purchase on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play.

"Get A Grip" follows two hit singles on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart: the full throttle "Swerve On" and the suggestive "How Far You Wanna Go." Denny's sultry acoustic cover of Conway Twitty's "I'd Love To Lay You Down" earned him a staggering four-week #1 run on the Hotdisc international chart. Strickland performs across the U.S. and has enjoyed sold-out shows during CMA Music Festival week and opened for many of today's biggest stars (Maddie & Tae, Jamey Johnson, 3 Doors Down, The Kentucky Headhunters). With Grant's passing in 2011, he took a brief hiatus; regrouping and refocusing his efforts. He launched his music career with two MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart hits: "Swerve On" and "How Far You Wanna Go." He has hosted the internationally-syndicated television show Country Fix and opened for Maddie & Tae, Jamey Johnson, The Kentucky Headhunters and 3 Doors Down. Denny is an accomplished guitarist, keyboardist and American Quarter Horse Association horseman.
