The 2012 Craven Country
Jamboree was help July 12-15, 2012
The Jamboree started off in the beer gardens on Thursday night
July 12 with Diamond Rio. These six guys is one of the greatest
bands of all time in country and that night they proved it. Williams
and Ree hosted the big event and like always they are great hosts.
On Friday July 13, Craven Country Jamboree started on the big
stage with The Roys, they are a brother and sister team. They are a
blue grass band which Lee the brother sounds a little like Ricky
Skaggs. One More Girl came on after the duel and they are a Canadian
group that won The Canadian Radio Music Award for "Best New Country
Artist". Neal McCoy sang his heart out to a audience that knows all
his music and loving him and his moves. Emerson Drive another
Canadian band sang on stage. These guys been together for over ten
year and they sing together like it has been longer. Phil Vassar was
born in Virginia, he writes and sings songs that is very good for
himself and other stars that is why people like him. The show ended
with Eric Church and the crowd was so into his music that most
of them stood the whole time.
On Saturday July 14, they started with Bullrush a dual girls team
that has a little bit of sass. Deric Ruttan another Canadian boy
from Ontario, his voice made the crowd appreciate him. Don William
never show up because of illness, so Sammy Kershaw came instead and
he put on a great show. Terri Clark a Canadian girl, that puts on a
kicking show that the crowd always enjoy. Billy Currington a Georgia
boy, knows how to get the people moving out of their chairs. Allan
Jackson started and they continued to stand. He put on the greatest
show for Craven and it was the best.
Sunday July 15, Steve Holy started to sing in the afternoon. He
is a Dallas guy that he knows how to get the crowd going. Ronnie
Milsap played his piano and sang all his hits. I wish he would have
played all forty hits but the concert would have been twice as long.
Dean Brody a British Columbia man that moved to Nashville and is
making big with his music he sings. The Band Perry is always making
it big with their music and they only been in the business for a
very short time. The two brothers and sister put on a great show for
us. To end the Craven Country Jamboree was Brad Paisley it was a
great end to the Jamboree. Brad plays that guitar unbelievable and
sings his stories songs which is great.
I want to thank Craven Country Jamboree's staff for making this
article and pictures possible.
