Cavalia's Odysseo came into
Scottsdale, Arizona December 19, 2013 and runs through January 29,
The show was spectacular with multimedia equestrian and

Created by one of the founders of Cirque du Soleil, Odysseo is a
theatrical experience, an ode to horse and man that marries the
equestrian arts, awe inspiring acrobatics and high-tech theatrical
effects. It is held under a 10-story White Big Top and 8
additional tents that comprise the Odysseo village. The show
includes 60 horses of 9 different breeds including the Appaloosa,
Arabian, Canadian, Lusitano, Oldenburg, Paint Horse, Quarter Horse,
Spanish Purebred and Warmblood and an international cast of 50
artists from around the world including the United States, Canada,
Brazil, France, Guinea (Africa), Russia, Spain and Ukraine play and
demonstrate their intimate bond with horses. There are 350
costumes and 100 pairs of shoes and boots in the show. The
15,000 square foot stage features a real carousel and a magically
appearing 80,000 gallon lake in front of a stunning video backdrop
the size of three IMAX screens. Odysseo is a two-hour dream
that moves the heart and touches the soul.
From the beginning of the show, the horses capture the
heart. Ten horses freely play on stage by having a pleasurable
roll on the ground or mischievously tease one another with playful
nips to the back. The show builds through a variety of
equestrian numbers including jumping, dressage, carousel, trick,
stunt, Roman and Cossack riding.
